These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Morivex (the "Service"), operated by Smart Technology Investments LLC ("Company," "we," "us," "our"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Morivex, you represent that you are at least 18 years old, have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and agree to comply with them. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

Morivex uses publicly available SOA mortality tables, NAIC carrier complaint data, AM Best financial strength ratings, and actuarial modeling to help consumers estimate their life insurance coverage needs. The Service provides DIME and Human Life Value calculations, Monte Carlo survival simulations, carrier comparison scoring, underwriting risk predictions, and term length optimization. The Service is informational only.

3. Not Insurance Advice

Morivex is not a licensed insurance broker, agent, or carrier. The coverage estimates and carrier comparisons provided are based on publicly available data and actuarial models. They do not constitute recommendations to purchase, apply for, or decline any specific life insurance policy.

You should always:

Consult a licensed insurance agent or broker for personalized advice
Verify coverage amounts with an independent financial advisor
Review policy terms and conditions directly with the insurance carrier
Understand that actual premiums depend on your specific underwriting results

4. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

Our coverage estimates are derived from SOA mortality tables, NAIC data, AM Best ratings, BLS income data, and Census ACS data that are updated on their own schedules. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for any particular purpose of data derived from third-party sources.

All estimates are approximations. Actual premiums and coverage terms depend on your specific application and the carrier's underwriting process. Life insurance products, availability, and regulations vary by state.

5. Permitted Use

You may use the Service for lawful personal or commercial research purposes. You agree not to:

Reproduce, resell, or sublicense our analysis outputs without a commercial license
Scrape or systematically extract data from the Site beyond API rate limits
Represent our data as official government data or as insurance advice
Attempt to reverse-engineer our optimization algorithms or scoring methodology
Use the Service to harass, defame, or harm any person or entity

6. Credits and Billing

Morivex uses a per-report credit system. Credits are purchased as one-time payments (not subscriptions) via Stripe. Single reports cost 1 credit ($12.99), report packs provide 5 credits ($39.99), and API credit packs are available for developers. All fees are in U.S. dollars and are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice.

7. API Access

API subscribers receive API access subject to rate limits specified in the API documentation. API credentials are non-transferable. You are responsible for securing your API keys. We reserve the right to suspend API access for abuse or excessive usage.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, optimization methodology, software, and compiled data outputs, is owned by Smart Technology Investments LLC and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The underlying government datasets are in the public domain. Our original expression, analysis, and optimization methodology are proprietary.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SMART TECHNOLOGY INVESTMENTS LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Smart Technology Investments LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Los Angeles County, California, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 14 days' notice of material changes via email or prominent Site notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
